BEMA, is an advocate and networking organization, like its predecessor BMA, with a mission to “Preserve, Protect & Perpetuate Black Entertainment & Music”. As a membership based organization, a new energy is propelling this drive to create a viable force to speak to the issues of this millennium within the entertainment industry.

BEMA supports existing trade associations within the region, and network with companies and organizations that deliver results to music industry associates. Membership benefits will accrue as Education, Networking Opportunities, Industry/Service discounts and Advocacy Services.

BEMA, is composed of concerned music industry veterans who have a commitment to help nurture and propel younger and vibrant entertainment professionals. These veterans know the uniqueness of concerns that cultural professionals experience and offer solutions that can bring about positive resolutions.

BEMA, works with other local and national entertainment organizations to assist its members and those associations in assuring that the visibility of Black entertainment is enhanced through music, television, movies, stage, internet, etc. The organization is Philadelphia based, and will include a regional reach throughout the Philadelphia Tri-state area.
